Hollow Stories: Lockdown

A survival horror noir set in the 1990s, where police corruption and a hidden cult threaten a city in decay.

Description

Hollow Stories: Lockdown is a neo-retro survival horror experience inspired by classic 90s titles. It blends fixed camera angles with dynamic first-person aim mode, delivering atmospheric storytelling supported by modern systems built in Unreal Engine 5.

Players explore abandoned facilities, solve puzzles, manage tight inventory space, and face grotesque creatures with advanced physical reactions powered by control rigs, physics simulation, and synchronized animation systems. Gameplay Ability System (GAS) and Gameplay Message Router ensure precise and responsive moment-to-moment interaction.

History

In Hollow Stories: Lockdown, players step into the role of an unnamed survivor trapped inside a research facility that has undergone a catastrophic containment failure. Once a place dedicated to experimentation, biological study, and behavioral simulation, the complex is now silent. its halls littered with broken equipment, abandoned notes, and distorted traces of human presence. Something has gone terribly wrong... and something still moves inside.

With no memory of how you arrived, you awaken in a sealed wing of the facility as alarms echo faintly in the distance. Every door you unlock and every terminal you activate reveals fragments of a larger narrative: unethical experiments, a vanished staff, and a hidden agenda buried beneath layers of corporate secrecy.

As you progress, you encounter hostile creatures twisted results of failed prototypes whose behaviors and physicality are tied to the research once conducted here. The deeper you explore, the more you uncover links between the experiments and your own past, suggesting that your presence in the facility is not a coincidence, but a consequence.

The story unfolds through environmental storytelling, recorded logs, scattered documents, and subtle interactions that slowly piece together the truth behind the Lockdown. Your goal is not only to escape, but to understand what this place really was… and what it has turned you into.

Every choice you make, every clue, every encounter, every resource you risk brings you closer to the core of the mystery: Who triggered the Lockdown, what were they trying to contain, and why were you chosen to survive it?
